Convention on the Rights
of the Child (CRC)
lays down the principles
of non discrimination
in the best interest
of the child along
with the common standards
for the various rights
of children. It takes
into account the different
cultural, social, economic
and political realities
in which children live.
India ratified the
Convention on the 11th
of December, 1992.
Yet, we are far from
realising it. This
site is an invitation
to understand the state
of children's rights
in the country and
the efforts to combat
the violation of children's
